Meetings
  • Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month, quarterly or when so deemed by the Mayor.

Members
  • Three to five members, each serving two-year terms, more than one term permitted.

Appointing Authority
  • Mayor

Special Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • No convictions of a felony or any crime involving moral turpitude
  • Residence of Meadow Vale or tenant in Westport Plaza

Purpose
  • The Advisory Committee on Social Events will provide input into the kinds of social activities that would be of interest to citizens of the City.

Open Meetings and Records
  • Members of the committee should be familiar with the Commonwealth’s policy with regard to the conduct of meetings which can also include casual gatherings held in anticipation of a regular or special meeting.
